I need a formula that will calculate customers age. I also need this formula to give me some type of warning when a person reaches a certain age.

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Assuming 2 dates, Date 1 (in Cell A1) and Date 2 (in Cell A1)(Date 1 is the person's birthday, for example, and date2 might be today's date)...

In Cell A3, type the formula--

=YEAR(A2)-YEAR(A1)

This will return the years bewween the dates. In Cell A4, type the formula--

=IF(A3>50,"Too Old","Young Enough")

...where "50" is the age you're testing against. This age could be in another cell, and the formula could refer to it. The formula would then become (assuming the age is, say, in A10)...

=IF(A3>$A$10,"Too Old","Young Enough")

Hope this helps.
