Hi,

I need your help to count blank in-time & out-time for a particular period in the attendance sheet. For example, 21st and 22nd March punching in and punching out both are blanks.
also, need to count how many days, in-time is recorded and out-time is not recorded.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
=COUNTBLANK(A1:G1) will count blank cells for you. You will need to change the range in that formula to the range you're trying to count

=COUNTIFS(A6:F6,">0",A8:F8,"=") Use this formula to count the days where there's an in time and no out times. The first range, A6:F6 is for the in time ranges. The second range, A8:F8 is where you will put the out time ranges

And I misread the first part of your sentence

=COUNTIFS(A6:F6,"=",A8:F8,"=") This will display the count for days where there is NO time in or out
