Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Hello and welcome to MrExcel.

Try

=NETWORKDAYS(A1,B1)

where A1 holds the earlier day.

This requires the Analysis Toolpak from Tools > Add-Ins.
