Say I have this:
Start Time..........End Time.........Total Time
6/26/08 1:00 6/27/08 1:15....0:15 ????

If I try to do a calculation it will just give me 15 minutes even though the total time is actually 24 hours and 15 minutes.

How can I get excel to recognize that an entire day has passed and show me a total time of 24 hours and 15 minutes in column c?

Excel Facts

Excel Wisdom
Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
Format as [h]:mm.

Would that work for a full date with the date as well as the time in it as above?

What would I set the calculation cell to be? Just b1 - a1?

I tried that and it just gives me 15 minutes instead of 1 day 15 minutes.

Am I missing a step?

Oh wait, never mind, I think it's working.

Thanks.
