calculate shifts based on current date

hi Guys and girls

need some help. im looking for a formula for : I have staff who will be issued shifts for the full month. now it can vary they might work 8 days a month or they might work 20 days a month. im looking for a formula where I can find out how many shifts they have left for the month on any particular date. for example if its 14th May (today). I was the formula to calculate how many shifts they have left till end of the month.
