assume my cost is 100
I add 10% as the profit margin which makes my sales price as 110
What is the excel function or formula to calculate the Maximum discount that can be given to sales price (110 ) to make it 100

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Not sure what you are after.
If you want to enter a price and see what percentage profit this might do
A1 = $100
B1 = any price you want to sell for
C1 = the percentage profit

Formula =SUM(B1-A1)/100
