I'm trying to calculate the number of weekdays between 2 given dates to calculate retro pay for a salaried employee. The increase should have been effective 01/01/2013, but I just found out about the increase today.

B4 = End date for retro pay calculation (end of last payperiod - for me, that's 03/10/2013
B3 - 01/01/2013 (effective date of the increase).

Because the employee is a salaried employee, they get paid for a standard 40 hour work week, regardless of holiday, so I just need to determine the actual number of business days (weekdays) between the 2 dates.

I tried =((weekday(b4) - weekday (b3)) and got -2, which I'm guessing is the difference between Sunday, March 10 and Tuesday, January 1?

I'm using Excel2010. Thanks in advance for any/all assistance!!

Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
