I am looking for the proper code to generate a date based on data in two cells:

A1 contains an event date
B1 contains the deadline (in days) that the task needs to be completed before the event date.

Example: A1 - B1 = Deadline

I've tried several different formulas, and nothing has worked yet.

Thanks!
