I have a data set with decimals out to the 1000th. Each 1000th represents 1 day. For this exercise, there are 172 days in a year. Is there a formula that will calculate the following decimal into a total number (total days)?
Example is 5.137.
where .172 = 1. (every time the counting number reaches .172 it goes to 1.000 and starts counting again to .172).
The result I need to get is 997.
I'm not sure how to write the formula to convert any text with three decimals to a round number counting the decimals points as singular days.
Any ideas?
