Hi, I want to show the age of our leavers when they left - by subtracting their date of birth from their last day of service. The 2 cells are formatted as UK dates and I want to show the result as their age in years when they left. Years and months would be nice, but years only will be enough.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Put your two dates in A1 and B1 and the formula in C1 (or change to suit your range)

=DATEDIF(A1,B1,"y")

will give you the difference in years.
Change the y to d and it will give you the result in days
Change the y to m and it will give you the result in months

You're not kidding! :) Hadn't spotted either before - my, I am going to be busy... Thanks both for the pointers. :)
