Hey all,

I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Is there a way to calculate an average based on info that isn't numerical? For example, if I have a column of Denial Reasons and wanted to calculate an average of occurrences for that particular denial, how would one do that!?!?! i.e., "Benefit denied due to non-payment"...how would I calculate the number of times this statement appears!?!

Hope this makes sense....any help is appreciated,

Thanks,
-Vanna
