I have data series arranged as a row of hourly data:

Jan 1 2001, 0, 232
Jan 1 2001, 1, 312
Jan 1 2001, 2, 213
.....
Jan 1 2001, 23, 243
Jan 2 2001, 0, 322
Jan 2 2001, 1, 345
....
i.e. 8760 values

I would like to extract the average of each day, so that I get a column of 365 values, can't get it to work... should I use a matrix formula? Any other suggestions??
