": Degree Days

Degree days is a way of quantifying temperature ranges. Merging this info with electricity consumption for cooling systems can potentially help to understand if the system is efficient. Below is a link to the Degree days’ website where you can research a bit on how to use the data.
http://www.degreedays.net
There are 3 files for this problem. Two files contain energy consumption for 3 months; one for 2015 and the other for 2016. The remaining file has the cooling degree days for the weather station near the location being analyzed.

  1. We would like you to understand the degree days’ regression method and use it to evaluate how well it would work as a tool for cooling systems efficiency.
  2. Compare the two kWh data sets to understand if the refrigeration system has deteriorated over the past year.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Welcome to the forum.

This looks a lot like homework - is it?
