Hello there,

I am trying to find number of woking days for a Worker in a 365 day period, if he works on a 28 day on and 28 day off rota throughout the year.

Thanks in advance,
Jas

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Are you saying that the 365 day period starts on the first day of his first 28 day on rota?

If the first day of the year is the first day of the start of the shift. Within the 365 day period that person will have worked 196 days.

No formula, just did a manual count.

... it's the same as the formula =7*28 ... if the 365 day period starts on the first day of his first 28 day on rota.

What is the logic of 7 months (7*28)...Glenn in some cases the workers will work throughout the year, so from 1st Jan - 31st Dec but in some situations they might only work couple of months.

Cheers

The logic is for working 28 days on and then 28 days off, repeating throughout a 365 day period, starting at the beginning of a 365 day period.

Thanks Glenn, but I still don't follow. What is the formula or what is the complete thought process?

Cheers
