Hi All,

I am trying to calculate the amount of weight loss/gain, from the first measure, to the most recent.

The range of cells i am using are from B3-M3, with the difference to be shown in N3.

In cell B3 i have the initial weight, then the weights will be updated once a month, along the row.

Can anyone please help me to automatically calculate the difference from the first entry (B3) to the most recent entered.

I have tried to attach a photo but it says the file is too large.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi,

Something like this?

Book3.xlsx
BCDEFGHIJKLMN
1Initial LBGain/Loss +/-
2
310010511010399101951033
Sheet889
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
N3N3=-(B3-LOOKUP(9^9,B3:M3))

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

.. or you could eliminate one negation.

21 04 02.xlsm
BCDEFGHIJKLMN
1Initial LBGain/Loss +/-
2
310010511010399101951033
Loss
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
N3N3=LOOKUP(999,B3:M3)-B3

I have tried to attach a photo but it says the file is too large.
Photos are not much good anyway as we cannot copy from them to test with. Much better to use XL2BB for providing small sets of sample data.

You're welcome, thanks for the feedback.

This note just for fun: @Peter_SSs , just trivial, according to Guinness, the heaviest person recorded (so far) is 1400 lbs, so you might want to up your 999 :LOL:

PS: my 9^9 is a overkill...
