Calendar control

Hi

I am currently using Excel 2003 SP2 (Standard Edition)

The company where I work has created several userforms which use the Calendar function within VB and all employees can use this.

I have since created a new set of Userforms (which do not use the calendar function) for an external company. Upon opening the spreadsheet and running the code to launch the Userform they get an error message regarding "Calendar Control".

Can anyone shed any light on this?
Sorry I can not be more specific at present.
I am totally confused.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I'm guessing that you copied the form across or duplicated the file. Is that correct?

If so, it's likely to be a missing VBA reference. In the VBA environment, select Tools > References. Look at the top for something relating to a Calendar Control, and deselect it. If you do this on a machine that throws the error, it's likely to be flagged as MISSING.
Either way, deselect, click OK and you should be OK

This didn't work for me.
i switched environments from W2K to XP.
Doesn't work in XP, but works in W2K wonderfully.
This little calendar is a lifesaver, so i need it in XP too.
Any ideas? Any takers?

Excel Version: 2003 SP2
i get an error message stating: "Object can't be read, so this form can't be used on this machine. "NOTE: That's a rough translation of the Japanese error message.

Try compiling the project (in the VBE, Debug > Compile). If there are any references in the code that cause problems, this will highlight them.
Sometimes, an error in an unrelated piece of code will cause runtime errors. It can happen when you upgrade versions.

Thanks for the response.

i had to call the helpdesk at my company.

He said: "After I have copied MSCAL.OCX from mine to your PC and optimized some registry, it seems fine with Calendar function."

Thank You. If he had not fixed, i'd have followed your advise for sure.

But, how about making the calendar do the following:

1) appear where the mouse is, instead of in the middle of the workspace?

2) Always reflect today's date

Welcome your thoughts?

Slick site Denis!
Couldn't find a way to make the Calendar pop up next to the cell, but i got it to show today's date.
Quite happy. Cheers
