Calling RTD Function from VBA

In my worksheet, the formula...

=RTD("tos.rtd", , "DESCRIPTION", A2)

works just fine. Cell A2 has a stock symbol in it and the formula with RTD function returns the DESCRIPTION or MARK or whatever I want.

I'm creating a report using VBA and I want to use the same formula. Here's my attempt....

Cells(StartReportRow, 2).Value = Evaluate("RTD(""tos.rtd"", , ""DESCRIPTION"", " & Cells(WriteRow, 1).Value & ")")

This results in a #NAME? error in the target cell at StartReportRow, 2

What am I missing???

Please and thank you!
Mark

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Solved my problem...

Cells(StartReportRow, 2).Formula = "=RTD(""tos.rtd"", , ""DESCRIPTION"", """ & Cells(WriteRow, 1).Value & """)"

Using .Formula instead of evaluate solved it.

Thanks anyway. Love this forum.
