can excel do this?

Hello,
I have a sports statistics database in excel, I put in the sportsheets from matches and it automatically calculates over 400+ statistics for players, teams, etc.
But, it is only limited up to 10 teams and 21 players in each team, if I want to add more teams or players, I need to remake the whole project and expand it.
Is there a way how to do this in excel? To manually add teams, players, and excel would automaticaly calculate it? Or is there a good program for it besides excel?

There are multiple different possible solutions, the best thing to do would be copy a sample of your workbook so people in the forum know what they are working with.
