Hi people!

I want to know if its possible for Excel to recognize city/state names for US zip codes. The idea being that I have a column of zip codes and want to know if there is a formula/ way of having the column next to it automatically name the city/ state for me?

Another question: Anyone know of a great mapping tool for excel data spreads? Any free ones? If not, any ones you pay for but which you highly recommend for mapping customer data?

Thanks everyone!!!

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
If you have a spreadsheet with a list of all zip codes and their associated city/state names, then you can certainly type a zip code into a cell and use (probably) VLOOKUP to get the city/state data. There are various zip code lists available on the internet (google it) and some are better than others (more up-to-date, accurate, etc.)

I don't have much use for such lists, so I can't really recommend any in particular. My guess is a purchased list from a reputable company would be better than a free one somewhere.
