Can Excel upload data back to the database?

I know Excel can import data from an external database via ODBC. Is it possible to do the reverse ie. inserting or even updating data in the database?

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Does anyone have any idea on how to achieve this? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
