I have 2 workbooks.

book 1 has old data and some data missing as been used.

Book 2 has all the old data thats been used and unused as well as brand new data.

Is there anyway I can compare the 2 workbooks and just compare data thats in books 1 and 2 and if missing from either delete the row in book 2.

To delete it would have to be missing from columns A-D in a particular row.

Will I be able to do that and it don’t do anything with brand new data in book 2. This would appear in book 1 next time I do a download.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
So im clear it has been posted here too.

I may of found an easier way and need some advice.

Just so you know it will be in 2 seperate workbooks but shown as 2 sheets for easier showing.

I think this way be easy as every entry will have a unique time and date in column K and a unique value in column J but im no tech expert.

Would it work if you looked in book 2 at the value and date and time in columns J & K and compared them with book 1 Column K and column D? if the value was missing from column D then it needs deleting?

There will be loads of entries all down the workbook but the layout is the same,

Workbook on the link with further explinations.
