Hi There,

Fistly, thanks for reading my post. I am very new to VBA so please bear with me. I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere.

I have a Msg box which requests the user to specify "pass" or "fail". That's all working. What I am trying to find out is if there is a way to open a different tab in the same worksheet if the user selects "fail".

If "fail" is selected then I want it then to open a tab called "defects" and place the cursor on the next available row in column B.

I am using Excel 2010 with XP 32bit laptop.

Many thanks for reading this.

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Try this:
Code:
Sub test()

    If InputBox("Pass or Fail?", , "Pass") = "Fail" Then
        With ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Defects")
            .Activate
            .Cells(.Rows.Count, 2).End(xlUp).Offset(1).Select
        End With
    End If

End Sub
