I'm pretty certain that the answer is "no", but just thought I'd check ...

I have a table that is populated with new records via a UserForm which has a mandatory field (a ComboBox with a list behind it) for the Line Manager the new record is to reviewed by ...

I then have another UserForm which reads in a record and has additional fields that the Line Manager completes ...

But currently every Line Manager can view/edit all records, not just those allocated to them ...

Is there anything I can do to restrict this to only their records?

PS; view/edit would be perfect, but if they can view all, but only edit their records, that might work ...

Many thanks ...

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Not something I've ever used, but have a look to see if this does what you want.

Hhhmmm, not sure?

Will need to play with it but not too hopeful ...

If I had a static list of Line Managers I think I could code something in VBA eg when anyone opens the Workbook, they have to select who they are and enter a password they have be given, which invokes some kind of hide/protect records (which in its own right might not be possible?) - but the problem is that it's a dynamic list (and the Reviewer may not be a "Line Manager" as such!) and as such just gets too complicated in the context of the Workbook purpose!!!

Thanks as always ...
