Can I use SQL to filter data from a Sharepoint Connection?

I want to create a Data Connection to a Sharepoint excel file and load its data.

Is it possible to use SQL to filter the data that will be loaded? The file is too big and I don't want to download the whole data and make my local xlsx huge.

If not, how can I do it?
