Hi,

I've VBA code that I've obtained from recording a macro but it's a little lengthy. Could anyone enlightened me on how to reduce the codings?

Code:
    Columns("B:B").Select
    Selection.Replace What:=" Boxes", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, _
        SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
        ReplaceFormat:=False

    Columns("H:H").Select
    Selection.Replace What:=" Net Amount: ", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, _
        SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
        ReplaceFormat:=False

    Columns("I:I").Select
    Selection.Replace What:=" Gross Amount: ", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, _
        SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
        ReplaceFormat:=False

    Range("J:J").Select
         Selection.Replace What:=" Currency: ", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, _
         SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
         ReplaceFormat:=False

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Hi

To this :-
Code:
    Columns("B:B").Replace What:=" Boxes", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows

   Columns("H:H").Replace What:=" Net Amount: ", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows

    Columns("I:I").Replace What:=" Gross Amount: ", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows

    Range("J:J").Replace What:=" Currency: ", Replacement:="", LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows

Generally, any parameter that is "FALSE" can be omitted as that is the default.

Also, you don't need to Select to carry out actions on worksheets.
