# Can these formulas work and how?

The 2 formulas I am using is:

=COUNTIF('Mon Data'!K2:K30000,A43)

and

=SUMPRODUCT(--('Mon Data'!A2:A30000=Monday!A44),--('Mon Data'!H2:H30000="ATT"))

They are in different cells to achieve the different figures required and they work great for that.
However, I need to get the formula to divide the resulting figure by 2 but to still be in the same cell (so add something to the above formulas to get them to divide the number).

The data I am working with is not numerical so these formulas are counting up text entries to get to how many ATT there are for example.

Many thanks for any suggestions!

### Excel Facts

If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Welcome to the board.

These should do that for you

=COUNTIF('Mon Data'!K2:K30000,A43)/2
and
=SUMPRODUCT(--('Mon Data'!A2:A30000=Monday!A44),--('Mon Data'!H2:H30000="ATT"))/2

Glad to help, thanks for the feedback.

Excel contains over 450 functions, with more added every year. That’s a huge number, so where should you start? Right here with this bundle.
