can we format autonumbers

I want to generate a autokey for the records but in a specific format such as
abc_year_month_3digit random number

How, can I make one like this? the year and month should change according to actual month and year during record creation.

Also can I reset auto numbers in access?

Note: the field will need to be a Text field, not an Autonumber.

To reset Autonumbers delete the records from the table, then compact and repair the database. They will restart from 1.
