I have some rows that I want to group the same as some other rows. Is it possible to copy and paste the grouping somehow? When I just do copy formats it doesn't include the grouping.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
I don't use grouping that much, so I'm not so familiar with it.
But I just tried setting up some grouping (using Excel 2003), highlighted the ENTIRE ROWS that were grouped, then Copy, paste, and it worked fine, including duplicating the grouping.
You don't need to copy, paste special, formats.
It seems as if you have to paste into Col A.
