Can you display animated gifs on a userform?

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Some time ago, some of us tried to figgure out a way to do just this and came to the conclusion that no, you cant. It seems that while a user form is in show, it is actually running, and in excel, only one thing can run at a time. Sorry

Also, if you have access to Flash you can play a Flash movie on a Userform.

Of course this becomes a lot more involved as you will need to have a player installed on the user-end and the Flash .swf will need to reside in the same directory as the xls.

I think the web browser control will work great since the url can point to a local file. Thanks for the help.

Animate with macro

I know this is an old post, but couldn't you in theory simulate animation by showing say, 3-10 different pictures in same position, with a macro?

Ideas???
