How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Putting "=Sheet1!A1" in a cell in Sheet2 will allow that cell to always equal cell A1 of Sheet1. Is that what you are asking?

Are you talking about WorkSheet pages or WorkSheets in different WorkBook files?

Open both workbooks.
In cell A1 of workbook1 input an equal sign, "=". (without quotes)
Then go to workbook2 and click cell A1 in the sheet you want to link to.
Hit Enter.
The resulting formula in workbook1 will be "Absolute", (has $'s around your cell address).
Edit these out of the formula in cell A1.
Now you can drag your formula down or right to extend the links.
Is this what you are after?
