Hi there

I have a workbook that is shared with other users, but have information on one sheet that i don not want the other parties to be able to see or access.

Is there any way to worksheet within a workbook?

many thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Ensure you are on the sheet you want to hide.

On the Home tab, go to Format. Under visibility click on Hide & Unhide. Select Hide Sheet.

You could use some VBA to hide the sheet and password protect it. I added the following to one of my workbooks and assigned a macro to a button that runs the code:

Sub GetCompApproval()</SPAN>
Dim Password As String</SPAN>
Dim RetryPass As String</SPAN>
Password = InputBox(prompt:="ENTER PASSWORD TO ACCESS THIS SHEET", Title:="Password")</SPAN>
'MsgBox prompt:=Password</SPAN>
If Password = "" Then</SPAN>
End</SPAN>
ElseIf Password <> "HERE YOUR CHOSEN PASSWORD" Then</SPAN>
RetryPass = MsgBox(prompt:="SORRY PASSWORD IS INCORRECT" & vbCr & _</SPAN>
"PLEASE SPEAK TO OWNER" & vbCr & _</SPAN>
"if you need a password", _</SPAN>
Title:="Access Denied", _</SPAN>
Buttons:=vbRetryCancel + vbExclamation)</SPAN>
If RetryPass = vbRetry Then</SPAN>
GetCompApproval</SPAN>
Else</SPAN>

End</SPAN>

End If</SPAN>
Else</SPAN>
Sheets("SHEET NAME").Visible = xlSheetVisible</SPAN>
Sheets("SHEET NAME").Activate</SPAN>
