# Can you use 2 COUNTIF functions (for 2 columns) in the one formula?

I was wondering if you can use two countif functions (for 2 columns) in the one formual. i.e. Countif column A = "Under 30" AND column B = 1.

I have a feeling there's a specific formula you can use for this but can't for the life of me remember it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)

SUMPRODUCT() does it.

=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A50="Under 30")*(B1:B50=1))
