Yesterday I created a macro and saved it to my personal .XLSB folder. Now I cannot find it. I've searched every .xlsb file on my desktop PC and it's no longer there. I am positive that I saved it as I vividly recall proofing it several times and saving it each time.

Not sure if anyone can help me, but I thought I'd take a shot. It's nothing that I cannot recreate, it's just very aggravating to spend 2-3 hours on something only to have it go missing. :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Go to your personal .XLSB folder and sort the files by date, most recent first. See if you can find it that way.

Also, consider searching your entire hard drive. There are times I've saved a file ... thinking it was in one location ... only to learn I wasn't paying attention.

Thanks very much, but I tried all of those things already. I found the correctly dated .XLSB file but the macro I'm looking for was not in there. Plus I did search my whole hard drive too. This is driving me crazy!

Thanks again.

SURGEON GENERAL'S WARNING: Excessive Excel Programming may lead to memory loss after incorrectly processing VBA code.

I'm sorry you've loss your macro. It is infuriating ... I've experienced the same thing here.

Check your antivirus software log and quarantine.

My antivirus software automatically removes one specific module from my personal macro workbook.
