Cannot set the tabindex

Hi, I've read through the questions and replies on tab indexes, but they don't address my problem.

I have a worksheet (not a user form), where I have inserted 4 text boxes, the values of which I use in various ODBC queries. My problem is that the tabindex property is not available for any of the text boxes. Even if I try to set it using textbox1.tabindex, vba is not recognising the property. Has this got something to do with the fact that the text box is not in a user form ?
