Cannot share an excel workbook that contains XML data

I've been working on an Excel project for my work. I downloaded the atomsvc file from a SQL Server (Reporting Services). I have set up the Excel document to extract the data from the server to the document, and it automatically refreshed Daily. I want to share this document over the work network and to be accessed by multiple people at once. Unfortunately, it appears, excel is unable to share this document because it contains XML data. So please, if anyone out there can help me, is there a way to share the document with the XML data or a workaround?
