Can't copy a worksheet from one workbook to another

I have a large workbook with numerous worksheets. It contains many macros. I needed to update a particular worksheet (no macros in that one) but, because I didn't want to risk upsetting the existing workbook, I copied the worksheet to a new workbook. Having updated the worksheet, and developed another worksheet to link to it, I want to load both worksheets back into the original workbook. With both the original workbook and the new one open I click on the worksheet tab of the new book and select copy. However the original workbook is not listed as a place to copy to. It only shows copy to new workbook.

Does anyone know how I can copy back to my original workbook?

Thanks

Graham

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Are they both .xlsm or both.xlsx files?
Can you copy to another workbook or a new workbook?
If you use named ranges on the worksheet you copied out and back in there may be some problems once the copy is done.
