Can't remove relationship??

I'm wondering if someone can help me. I've created Access databases before, but my knowledge was a "know-only-what-I-need-to-know" basis. I'm now trying to re-learn it properly.

My problem is I created 2 tables both with phone number fields. I then created a relationship between the two tables linking the phone number fields. I then realized that one of the phone numbers was a number but the other was text. I deleted the relationship. But when I go to change the phone number from text to number it tells me I have to delete all relationships first. However, the relationship windows is empty.

I've tried googling and searching this forum, but so far no luck.

Go to Relationships view.
Click the Add Tables button and select all your tables.
Click OK and the tables will appear on the surface; any existing relationships will show up. You should then be able to delete the relationships.
When finished, close Relationships view and click Yes to save changes.

I was afraid it would be something simple!! I guess I hadn't removed the relationships, just made them no longer visible.
