can't see spreadsheet unless in fullscreen mode

Hye I have a spreadsheet that I CANNOT see unless I am in fullscreen mode (under VIEW FULLSCREEN) this is a problem cause I have to have multiple windows open to link and view work. ehat Is going on? I have uninstalled and reinstalled office xp (2002 SERVICE PACK2) 2 times now. when ity opens I get an ERROR 91. also the last thing that happened when I closed down excel with this spread sheet is i tried to paste values from a column over top itself and when it pasted it moved the data over several columns and downa few rows (and it would do this repeatedly)
any one have this happen before? I am not using any macros that I am aware of.
