Trying to get some help for a friend here. He is running Excel 2010 and has an existing chart with no data associated with it. He right clicks on the chart and clicks on "Select Data". The Data Wizard pops up and he clicks the Chart Data Range Icon (the one with the small red cell in the middle). When he tries to select the data in the spreadsheet, instead of seeing the animated dotted line around the data, the cells turn blue (like they would if you were going to copy them). The Chart Data formula box remains empty, even when he hits enter. I'm stuck on this one. Has anyone else run into this?

Hello and welcome to the Board

Can you upload the problematic workbook to a hosting site, with sensitive data changed or deleted?
