Hello all,

I have a protected sheet with filters on. Certain columns must be used for sorting. I selected the proper fields when protecting the sheet to allow for sorting but it will not allow anyone to do any sorting.

I tried many different ways from articles I found online but still not able to sort.

If anyone can shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance
Bob

Did you tick "Sort" in the list of options before protecting the worksheet ?

Yes, You have those choices just before you click protect.

Are any of the cells in the sort range locked?

Fluff - Columns A thru E are locked. Columns F & G are unlocked. Columns H thru P are locked. F & G are for editing only. Column M is the main column to sort on. I am just so baffled by this.

If any cells in the area to be sorted are locked & the sheet protected, then you cannot sort without unprotecting the sheet.
