Im looking to create a simple capacity plan for a team but crucially it has to consider skill level or length of service.

Most capacity plans give you if volume is x then you need x people but what i need is a simple way of showing that if volume is x headcount is x but that assumes they are skilled

For example

Employee 1 length of service 2 years
Employee 2 length of service 3 years
Employee 3 length of service 0

If i have 10 x employee 1 then my capacity is easy but 1/2 leave so i have 5 x employee 1 how many employee 3 would i need for it to be equal

It sound simple in my head but i can't seem to get into excel

Any ideas or examples?

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
if employee 1 and 2 finishes the same job in 1 hour and the employee 3 needs 5 hours, then your capacity per employee is divided by 5.
