capture by the hour

I have some data coming into a spreadsheet. It is real time. Each hour, I run a macro to capture this data and copy that hourly reading to another cell. Each hour, this macro copies to another cell keeping the first. And so on. This way, I can keep a trend of these readings. How can I automate this? I may not always be at my desk.
