capture numbers from date

Hi.
My issue relates to showing a date without separators (15/04/13 becomes 150413)
My business has a weird way of saving files & is very picky about it being spot on. it is date;location code;activity. I am going to collect the data from the sheet so that I can automate the process of saving. I know how to get most of the data into a single cell but the date is proving tricky as everything I have tried just returns the date value (i.e. when a date is formatted as general) Is there a way of plucking the numbers only from a date so they leave the date formatting behind?

Thanks

Peter

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
