I am using Microsoft Query to query a .txt file and inserting the returned data into my worksheet as an external data range.

I would like to find out if I can capture the query parameter entries and have them appear on top of the worksheet as some sort of a title letting the report reader know the parameter range for this report. Let me give you an example.

Let's say that the parameters that prompt are Date Beginning and Date Ending. For Date Beginning the user puts in 9/01/2002 and for Date Ending the user puts in 9/30/2002.

I want "9/01/2002" thru "9/30/2002" to appear at the top of the worksheet.

So my question is... Is there any way to capture the parameter entries and insert them into a cell on the users worksheet?

Why not use the cells as a parameter. By right clicking on the query, you can assign the parameters to cells on your sheet. See the help topci "Use data from a cell for parameter values"

Caution, when using dates, you may need to use the Text Function to get the query to work.
