Howdy,

I have 6 different mortgages. What I'm doing is using the excess cash flow from the property income to pay them down. However; I have to pay them off in order.

I already have a spreadsheet built that's populating the numbers for cash flow (the top line), I'm just trying to figure out how to make this work as concise as possible.

Any ideas?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Re: Cash Flow Problem...stumped...and bumped

it looks easier than it is; unless I'm making it harder than it is. Guidance?

I think you need to give some more information of what you are trying to do.

Its kind of a waterfall.

I have amounts that need to be paid off from revenue. All money goes to one amount until its paid off. After it gets paid off, the money is applied to the next amount, and so on.

I'm trying to make a logical statment out of it, and I feel like I'm chasing my tail trying to figure it out.

=IF(SUM($C$5:C$5)<SUM($B$8:$B8),SUM($B$8:$B8)-SUM($C$5:C$5)-SUM(C$7:C7),0)

Paste that into C8 and copy it through the rest of the cells that you are looking to fill.

For some reason the entire formula isn't showing up in the normal thread window (for me at least). You might have to go to the quote screen to see it all...

:)

You're seeing the whole formula. I cheated, which is why it works for that example.

I was digging around some of our templates, and I found an example of something similar to what I'd like but its UGLY...

I was referring to dcamos solution, I see only this: =IF(SUM($C$5:C$5)

When I click on the quote button for that reply I see the whole formula.
