Can anybody direct me towards a good cashflow template for a travel business that allows me to forecast:-
1 - customer receipts by profile for example 20% deposit on booking, 30% after 3 months and 50% after 9 months (or 3 months before date of travel)
2 - supplier payments by profile for example 10% in selected month, 25% after 1 month and 25% after 2 months and balance 2 months after travel
I’d like to make a list as above as some of the COGS will be depenent on the booking for example if a customer books in December and pays 20% deposit in December, then I will be committing a 10% prepayment to the hotel at the same time etc.
The rest of the expenses will help me to calculate when receipts and payments enter and leave the bank as opposed to recognising 100% receipts on booking and 100% payment at the same time. Note: different suppliers are paid different amounts at different times such as flights, hotels etc.
I’d rather not create something from scratch if something better already exists out there.
The solution need not be perfect as I can customise based on the base principles where necessary.
