Hi Everyone,

I have a survey that breakdown into 5 options - 1. Strongly Agree, 2. Agree, 3. Neutral, 4. Disagree & 5. Strongly Disagree

the survey responses from each of the questions can be in hundreds.

I need to categorize the results by count on their responses from the hundreds of row in the excel.

Q1 Q2 Q3
Strongly Agree 5
Agree 4
Neutral 4
Disagree 8
Strongly Disagree 9

I know i can use count function to do that, but checking if there can be 1 formula that can be applied to each question for the survey and populate the responses for all the catergories.

Thanks everyone in advnace

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
How about
Excel Formula:
=countifs(B$2:B$11,$A14)
In what looks like B14 & dragged down & across
