I have a vlookup such as ...

=VLOOKUP(B1,'[~1062679.xls]Full Equipment Detail'!,2,false)

The file name ~1062679.xls is something I selected from my computer but I want to be able to select this from a list in excel...

For example
In my sheet I have a list of the directory information like
in B1 = C:\Documents and Settings\~1062679.xls
How can I select B1 in the Vlookup formula as the text?...I have over 900 of these in a cell and need to extract this information but it only recognizes it as B1 and not the file name...Any ideas or help would be great!
