Hi everyone,

I am trying to create an attendance spreadsheet for my martial arts students.

Here's how I would like it to be:

I need the cell beside each student name to change color with a single click/touch (planning on using a tablet). That color will either be green or red. I would also like this color to be determined based on the current time. So for example from 6:00pm to 6:30pm it changes to green when the student touches the cell. If it is 6:31pm to 8:pm, the changes to red.

Is all of this possible in excel? I have not been able to find an app that fits my needs as described above.

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
What kind of tablet? Most will not be able to run any vba (a MS Surface with full Excel may)

You can use Excel workbooks on most tablets.. However, if you're planning to run any sort of macro (or VBA coding), both IOS and Android tablets will NOT be able to run them. Stick to something running Windows 10 (such as the Surface Pros or other Windows Tablet).
