Is it possible to have validation that will not let you enter data in a cell if another cell is not equal to a specific value? For example you couldn't enter data in cell A5 if A1 said January.

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Use Data, Validation, Allow: Custom, and for the formula, enter:
=A1<>"January"
